At the Sundance film festival Hillary Clinton believes she could beat Donald Trump if she were to run again in 2020.
In a wide-ranging interview with Variety about her new Hulu docu-series Hillary Clinton was asked if she felt the urge to beat President Trump.
‘Yeah. I certainly feel the urge because I feel the 2016 election was a really odd time and an odd outcome,’
She believes Trump’s ‘broken promises and the failed actions of this current administration’ should ensure the Democrats have a path to victory.
Not sure what broken promises she’s talking about, but from my vantage point if indeed some promises went unfulfilled President Donald Trump has kept more campaign promises than any other politician I’ve been following in the past four decades.
Then there’s the undeniable fact that when Donald Trump was still being called ‘President-Elect’ he’s been faced with a Democratic party hell-bent on changing the outcome of the 2016 election.
Hillary and the Democrats ‘Get Trump’ Obsession
Clinton discussed the upcoming November election and vowed to work to defeat her Republican antagonist Donald Trump.
‘The attacks on the fundamental right to vote and run our elections free from illegal, unconstitutional and certainly foreign interference is going to be even more sophisticated today than it was four years ago,’
‘I just think we have to win. I don’t think we can afford another four years by the current incumbent,’
‘I think that would be absolutely dangerous to our democracy, and I’ll do whatever I can to make sure the Democrats win this time,’
‘We have to be better than the other side, because they are highly organized and incredibly well funded, and they have foreign help,’
‘We should win, because I think people can see the broken promises and the failed actions of this current administration and so we should win, but we’re gonna have to overcome all of the obstacles they are throwing our way,’
Clearly Hillary Clinton, three years later, still can’t accept beating Donald Trump in the popular vote, but sill losing her crown, said she favors the abolition of the Electoral College.
‘The person who gets the most votes should win,’
‘The Electoral College is an anachronism that foils the rights of the majority of Americans to choose our leaders.’
Hulu’s infomercial “Hillary” is due to be released on March 6th.
