Michigan’s Democrat Gov. Gretchen Whitmer took time out from stomping on Americans Constitutional Rights during the Coronavirus crisis to join David Axelrod’s on his CNN “Axe Files” podcast.
Whitmer, who has drawn criticism from many Conservative outlets, including TuskerDaily over her insane coronavirus restrictions, talk about her placing a hold on performing all elective surgeries.
Despite multiple governors temporarily banning the procedure, by declaring abortions as nonessential.
Whitmer explained why she didn’t include abortions on her list of elective surgeries.
Like Whitmer did with Liquor and Lotto Tickets, she considers abortions “essential,” because she believes murdering an unborn child is a “life-sustaining” procedure.
“We stopped elective surgeries here in Michigan. Some people have tried to say that that type of a procedure [abortion] is considered the same, and that’s ridiculous.
A woman’s health care, her whole future, her ability to decide if and when she starts a family is not an ‘election,’ it is a fundamental to her life,” Whitmer said. “It is life-sustaining, and it’s something that government should not be getting in the middle of.”
