31. New York Jets
TuskerDaily’s 2020-21 Prediction 4-12
The New York Jets finished last season at 7-9 but that record is a little deceptive compared to how this squad looks today. They’ve got a brutal schedule coming up, with a four-game stretch against playoff favorites to start the season, followed by mid-season road trips to Seattle and Kansas City.
This is a team that had the second-worst scoring offense in the NFL last year, averaging just over 17 points per week. Le’Veon Bell’s comeback was about as underwhelming as Sam Darnold’s play at quarterback has been so far, and the decision of linebacker C.J. Mosley to sit out the season will likely have a major effect on their defense.
Originally, based on their strong finish last year, I had them slotted #28. But trading Jamal Adams to Seattle is a huge blow. While the trade should pay off big time in the future, for now the NY Jets losing their best player will take a sever toll on an already pitiful team.
But hey Jet fans, things can’t get any worse!
